If he...I think you're right and A.J. is key. If he's healthy, the Yanks will be in good shape. Of course you could say that about every player. Injuries are lethal, as you know from the Mets 2009 season.She-Fanhttp://janeheller.mlblogs.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1977384970015233286.post-55953115451223810142010-02-15T23:03:45.581-05:002010-02-15T23:03:45.581-05:00Them Oregonians are some pretty sharp folks both o...Them Oregonians are some pretty sharp folks both on the far Left and Right. One thing they aren't is on the fence and passive. Milton Bradley will definitely know, post haste, where he stands with the fans out there. They're the decendants of the Wild West, so he has an honest chance to be liked. He's very capable of blowing it though like a bad 80s high-hair mullet cut.

A.J. and Yanks? I'll stick to my same belief from 2009. Yes, A.J. is CC's shotgun, but the Yankee rotation is only as successful as Andy and now Vasquez takes them. A.J. might be the key variable as you hint, but I think Andy and/or Vasquez could be their Phantom Menace or saving grace. Why?-Because I believe Lackey and A.J. is a wash. That leaves the race to the bottom 3 of the rotation.

...And then there's the matter with all those stats and BillyBall etc, etc. All that cr*p is enough to make a Mayan Priest's head spin. Their calendar is easier to decipher. Talk to me when you want to discuss sound fundamentals: good base-running, smart and effective defense, knowledge of situational hitting, throwing strikes, minimizing walks and good managing-in-game decision makers who know how to deal with people on multiple levels. Statistics should remain an equal part of the evaluation pie, not more so. Baseball is mostly about failure. 70 to 80 percent of baseball is failure. When teams have players and managers succeeding in bunches the other 20 to 30 percent of the time, together, teams win championships....if you want to talk stats, that is. I know that's simplistic of me...but you know I'm just sayin'.

hmm...I should have just made my own post. Blog ya later.
http://thebrooklyntrolleyblogger.blogspot.com/BrooklynTrolleyBloggerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09704760727364587466noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1977384970015233286.post-77901280878010659512010-02-15T13:42:26.104-05:002010-02-15T13:42:26.104-05:00I still think $10 million for Sheets is ridiculous...I still think $10 million for Sheets is ridiculous.

RIDICULOUS.Jeffhttp://redstatebluestate.mlblogs.comnoreply@blogger.com
